Description
Beach Street is clearly marked with no trucks signs (maybe not enough of them) but each and every day trucks come down Beach Street and shake the houses on the street. Various trucks come down this street BUT Waste Management (WM) is the worst offender. They are down this street multiple times per day then go on Salem Street. They should be using Eastern Avenue. Could the city please provide enforcement? Thank you.

I have been living on Beach Street for over 30 years and trucks were never allowed to travel Beach Street. The signs are now removed they were professionally made signs and put up by a government agency. Please provide me with the telephone number of the Department of Transportation I believe you may have removed their signs. Also please identify yourself.
Please don't let this matter escalate.
Thanks

Thank You very much for your assistance.
But things don't add up.
This house was purchased with the understanding that trucks are to be excluded from traveling on Beach Street. You are now informing me that the Beach Street can be used by Trucks, if this is true the value of my house should be lowered.
Also the map and the ordinances that you referred me to speaks of horse draw vehicles, I would think that there would be a later version of ordinances on this topic, but maybe not I will find out.
Further the Mass DOT stated that if it is not state road then they do not have jurisdiction over the street. I will call them tomorrow to have further discussion with them.
Also the map indicates that Malden Square Excludes trucks I don't believe this to be the case.
I will try to call you tomorrow after doing more research.
If we are relying on law that speaks about horse draw vehicles then maybe the Mayor and City Council need to update the ordinance.
Thanks
