I am a senior at UNCC and I have lived on campus all four years. None of the four years of my attendance here have had a great parking experience, but it just so happens that my senior year has been the worst and looks like it will be for the entirety of the year. To live on campus and pay for a residence parking permit we pay a little over $400.00 for one year. By the way, this is a number that has gone up each year, as well as tuition.

I normally park at the back of the lot any way because of my personal preference to not have my doors dinged by other vehicles or any other damage but it's sad to say that students pay this ridiculous amount of money and can't even find a parking spot. Needless to say, around the time school started back the school decided to do some construction on campus which would block off one of the biggest parking lots on campus near the high rise dorms which can hold many more vehicles than any lot on campus. Now those students have to park on this side of the campus making them have to either walk or catch a ride back to their housing. I just wanted to post this to make people aware of how awful the parking is at UNCC.

As a side note, its also sad that we pay 400 bucks and have to worry about our vehicles being tampered with.
