I just posted something about the bayou and Joe's creek. I got a reply back saying there getting a team of volunteers to clean for a couple hours.. it's going to take days to clean that dump. I've been fishing back there for over 10years. Was my favorite spot to go now all I catch is trash. R.I.P Joe's creek , cross bayou.

Public Works maintains Joes Creek (Channel 1) for storm water purposes only not recreation. We are constantly assessing the maintenance needs on this and all the major channels. We inspected the area you referred to and identified a 250 foot section east of the 37th St bridge that needs major tree work done. The wider parts of Joes creek will be assessed by our environmental scientist separately.
