A. No Turn on Red sign needed at the traffic light at the top of the 1C exit ramp off of 295 North to 11th St bridge and MLK Jr. Ave. This intersection is very dangerous for pedestrians and cyclists...and even for other cars. Drivers ROUTINELY and CONSISTENTLY pull up into the middle of crosswalk blocking access to the sidewalk in an attempt to turn right on red. It is very difficult to see cars coming over the 11th St. bridge heading towards MLK Jr. Ave. so the driver has to get pretty far into the intersection. This is even worse during evening rush hour when traffic is heavy there. Drivers will pay absolutely no attention to pedestrians and cyclists in the crosswalk as they pull out and turn right even with less than a car-length of space. Drivers feel they have the right to cut off others coming over the bridge heading towards MLK DESPITE that the light is red. Today we had to actually move into the lane of traffic and walk our bikes over the sidewalk because a car was completely blocking the crosswalk and sidewalk ramp. Every near incident with a car while on our bike has occurred there. To say it's dangerous is an understatement. It's a fatality waiting to happen.
