I recently moved to this area and every day, 2x a day I have to use the merge from crain HWY (headed west) to 97 N / the end of veterans hwy. People have to look backwards to merge and they don't look in front of them if someone suddenly stops, an accident. I see it at least 1 a month here including myself, I was rear ended with 2 kids in the car. This morning someone else was rear ended. Crain hwy should have an extended lane straight up the ramp to give a more straight merge with more time to merge, there is plenty of road to do this. Otherwise, the crain hwy Lane should be shortened to before the road turns. Too many people try to speed up around the bend to slide in between cars from veterans hwy and they look behind them to see the traffic, but they don't look in front of them... I now slow down before the bend and stop there if it's not clear to merge so no one can whip around the bend and rear end me, again.
