I have left several voice mail messages to a Ralph Cataffi that he said that were never received. Then when i spoke with him about the park in question, He stated that he inspected the park and ordered a couple of thing and that there was no budget for what i am concerned about. I don't think that safety of children has anything to do with budget when millions were spent on other parks last year that really was not needed! From no maintenance to weekly cleaning that never get done. Swings replaced with the wrong ones and one missing. Other things taken out and never replaced and are now empty areas. Wood chips removed and never replaced with anything leaving just plain dirt as if we live in a 3rd world country. A square hole that kids call the death pit because it was never filled. Fencing falling apart were kids play swords with the poles. 8 inch gaps that are deep where kids get stuck and fall over between play areas. Railroad ties that are lifting up and are no longer flush. Dead trees dropping limbs at any given time. Park curbing where dog litter is never picked up. Park entrance never opened because it takes too much time to swing the door open! Trees trimmed that were left behind and forgotten about but who cares right? This is the end of the town who will notice? There is more if i bring a real inspector not just someone who doesn't use the park. I will post all the othe pictures soon on the Kearny facebook link since i can only post one on this.
