24 hour activity, at the house next to the corner liquor store. Cars coming and going non-stop and the building and surrounding property is being trashed. Large groups of young, aimless, unemployed men hanging out. Would not be surprised if someone ends up getting shot at this place. Also, why is it so easy to buy poison in the ghetto? Do you think Guilford would allow New Haven slumlords to set up skanky shops, selling garbage and poison to the youth in Guilford?

Absolutely right. The residents in Guilford would immediately call the cops. Also, they don't treat their Police Officers with such contempt when they try to do their job, and they don't cultivate an attitude that the PD are the bad guys. When you change that attitude, then you will see a less complacent population that will be less willing to allow this to go on right next to them.
In short call the PD and don't be afraid to take direct action to take back your neighborhood.
