Over the last 6-8 months in particular, there has been an absolute *plague* of cars parked in the curb lanes of 19th Street between K and E Street long past the cutoff for rush hour. Every one creates huge delays for hundreds and hundreds of others that eventually spill over onto other streets and snarl the entire area. This is a major artery for the city and it should be policed more frequently and vigilantly -- meter maids to ticket 5 minutes after the deadline, and cars towed shortly thereafter. That's the only way this is going to end.
