Description

Apparently when the money is put in it comes back out at the bottom in the coin return. The problem has never been reported and has been going on for a few months.

Parking meters are maintained by the Toronto Parking Authority, a separate agency from the City of Toronto. They can be contacted directly at 416-393-PARK (7275) for any issues with parking meters.
I'll close this off (you can reopen if you disagree but I'm pretty sure I'm correct. :^) )
