Gsaton county and a number of depts including state officials have been notified, i contacted Gaston county again a few days ago and their response was they are not aware of any tires. they ignore the issue, mean while the mosquito days are here.

I have found several other dump sites in North Carolina and reported them. as of today none of the sites have been cleaned up. 2 years of reporting and to response. NC collects a tax on every tire sold to be used for clean ups of tire dumps, but fail to act.

as of today May 2018 the tire dumps mention above are still there, i just went out an look. and as usual Gaston County says they are not aware of these tire dumps. I guess another year of Mosquito breeding and rats.

well this is october 2020 and the tire dump is still there, just like the others reported. Plus many other rural side roads are having accumulation of old car tires, then there those who sell use tires, some use tire dealers store their tires in a dry area while others store out in the open. The tires stored in the open fill with rain water and that causes the breeding of mosquitoes .Gaston County seems to ignore such issues..
