  Unfortunately it is up to the homeowner to take care of the sidewalk. MBTA is not responsible for bus stops on residential roadways. The homeowner is not mandated to do so, however state law does state the homeowner is liable if an incident would occur if someone got hurt, so homeowners are at risk if they choose not to shovel.

  Thanks for the update. I have called the MBTA about this and they said it was the office of public works remit to ensure bus stops were safe. This one isn't.
