I appreciate your concern; I've thought about the same possibility myself. But Sylvester is an outside/indoor cat and refuses to stay indoors for more than 10 hours, rain or shine. He left the house well after New Haven's first snow storm and well before this most recent one. Usually he returns multiple times throughout the day, but on February 1st he did not come home. I can only hope he is somewhere safe and warm.

He found shelter or a kind person gave him a new home. Call the animal shelter in new haven and ask for trap and release cat volunteer groups maybe someone in a rescue trap and release group helped him and he's in a rescue. Post flyers, ask neighbors too. Good luck have hope

Thank you for your kind words. They are very, very appreciated. And guess what? We found Sylvester! He came home earlier this week! I just forgot to delete this post in the excitement. Many thanks to the neighbors who saw my lost cat posters and gave me a call when they found Sylvester!
