Description
when you drive down the end of calthea street, the yards of all the homes on the right are loaded with old bikes, carriages, plant pots, and miscellaneous trash.
It is quite an eye sore. Isn't this town property? Is there any kind of ordinance for occupants to keep the grounds free of debits? The homes at the beginning of the street are well maintained and look like they are taken care of with pride. I think this needs to be addressed.

Unfortunately, there are no bylaws, ordinances, or regulations which pertain to the aesthetics of any given property in town. We apologize for the inconvenience and fully understand the frustration you may feel when you see a property that may not be the prettiest, however, there are no regulations that govern "eyesores", as most of these conditions are opinion-based. The BOH, as an act of good faith, will contact the Stoneham Housing Authority and notify them of the complaint, and ask that they look into it, however, please understand that any inhabited residential building is considered private property, so the BOH's jurisdiction is very limited, considering the conditions do not pose a threat to the health or wellness of the residents of Stoneham.
We appreciate the information, and will make sure the SHA is notified of the complaint.
