If the vehicle appears to be operable and is not wrecked, dismantled, partially dismantled, or discarded and either the Registration or the Inspection is expired, then it is not a Junk Motor Vehicle. Being operable or appearing to be operable (ie: no flat tires, no drive-train hanging under the car, etc.) and having one expired sticker is not a Junk Motor Vehicle. Being wrecked, dismantled, partially dismantled, or discarded and either the Registration or the Inspection have expired is a Junk Motor Vehicle.
The Code Officer for the area spoke with owner of semi-truck. It is there for repairs and can’t be moved now. Explained to him he isn’t allowed to have it in a residential area unless loading or unloading. He stated he understood and it would be gone tomorrow. Case started; will recheck on Friday.
The Code Officer for the area reported that the semi-truck is gone. The garage door was closed. Spoke with the owner (of the truck) this morning. He and a helper were loading the pieces left in the yard up on a trailer to remove it. They might have to make two trips but they are currently loading it up to haul it away now.
