This site is hit weekly by dumping. The owner of the warehouse is aware of the problem yet refuses to do anything about the issue. He is also totally tagged and allows people to use and deal drugs in front of his business.
This is one block south of the location you're speaking of. I am curious what the owner could do. It's a law enforcement issue, regarding the dumping and other activity. How do you know the owner refuses to do anything?
My bad. It looked like the corner of 34th and Linden. I have tried to work with the owner for two years. I have met with him many times and we make plans and he never follows through. When we offer to do the work like install cameras, flood lights, and put up a metal screen door where people deal and use, they say no that they'll deal with it. They have a view that this is how things are and they wont change. They also don't live in the area so after they leave they don't think about the issues.
Francisco, come to the West Oakland Neighbors meeting - we have had some sucesses recently with getting negligent landlords to step up. Next meeting is 2/18 at 6pm Willie Keyes Center
