Description

I'd like to share in a complaint that I feel is well overdue. I am resident in New Haven Connecticut. I would like to specifically draw some attention to olive st and Grand ave. I would have to say roughly starting at Lucibello's and ending where the shelter is , about three block radius has really become a problematic area. I'm not seeing enough policing going on to manage and or control the issue at hand. Daily there are homeless/ stragglers roaming the streets. They have carte blanche to sit in front of apartment buildings and businesses To get drunk and high... They enter into apartment parking lots and have been robbing cars. In addition to the activity that's going to during normal hours... The same homeless/stragglers are hanging out in front of the apartment buildings and businesses at 3/ 4 / 5 o'clock in the morning causing nuisance.

Is there a reason this is not being managed ? is there a reason why police are not arresting these folks for public intoxication .. Etc etc, perhaps advising them they cannot be soliciting in front of residential and commercial properties. I have a dress with the management company for the building in which I reside and they have advised to just call the police and report what is going on. It's an every day occurrence of public intoxication drug use littering Etc
