The situation at that garage and the long rental garage beside it is just terrible. I walk by it all the time. There has to be a better solution to trash cans than stacking up in front of your garage from all the other houses down that alley. The owner of the rental garages should be cited by the City for failing to maintain them in good working condition. And there is a litter of kittens now wild cats that live under the door of the first garage in that row. The City inspections team is needed in addition to Animal Control.

Yes, we have been fighting a losing battle to keep that area clean since we moved there in 2009. The trash men stack the cans on our garage, which signals to other people that this the right way to do it. Really, each homeowner/tenant should have their recycling and trash behind their property for pickup; not on our garage.

We also get non-stop furniture waste from renters who move in/out as well as construction trash from contractors who work on the properties in the area.

And sadly, the last time the city came to inspect the property ... they cited us for blocking the alley with debris.

So, the city is basically saying that we should just clean up everyone's trash.

Thanks for helping ... this is a seriously frustrating issue that never goes away for us.

This ticket is closed in the City's Work Order system.
