Description
The traffic lights at North Point Parkway & Old MIlton Parkway AND also at exit 10 coming off 400 southbound to get onto Old Milton Parkway seem to be out of synch again. They'd been much better for a while, but are messed up again, causing traffic to back up in the mornings (9:00) and afternoons (4:15). ALSO, the light at North Point Parkway & Old Milton Parkway (turning left onto Old Milton from NP Parkway) only stays green long enough for 3-4 cars to go through--causing a long backup on North Point Parkway. It was also doing much better until this week, so I feel like something is off on the timing.

We are aware of the situation and working to address it.
Engineers from the Georgia Department of Transportation are deploying a new signal timing plan for the Old Milton Parkway corridor that is intended to improve traffic flow and safety. The end result will maximize the capacity of the existing roadway to safely move motorists as efficiently as possible. To do that, however, every signal on the corridor has to be timed according to the plan. It is a domino effect, so if even a single signal is not timed properly the result could be backups along the entire corridor.
Engineers from GDOT and the City of Alpharetta are monitoring traffic flow along the corridor for the next two weeks and making adjustments to the signal timing patterns at key intersections as needed to achieve the best possible traffic flow throughout the road network.
