Traffic from Cotillion to the 285 westbound on-ramp is routed across the intersection to the right lane of the on-ramp. This prevents traffic on Chamblee Dunwoody turning right onto this entrance ramp from utilizing the right lane of the ramp. It would be more efficient traffic flow (creating less back up onto Chamblee Dunwoody) and fewer opportunities for accidents if Cotillion traffic was directed to the left lane of the entrance ramp thus allowing Chamblee Dunwoody traffic to utilize the right lane simultaneously.
