Description

To Whom It May Concern,

I parked my car on Linden Ave on the side of the street as the Bitter Lake Reservoir and was injured while attempting to walk down the sidewalk on that side of the street. The side walk has at least two sections of paved sidewalk ranging between one to two feet in legth that have been removed and are not visible at night due to little to no lighting on the west side of the street. I am currently 22 weeks pregnant, could not see the missing portion of sidewalk due to how cars are parked on the street and managed to fall due to a 12 inch deep hole from where the pavement was missing. I have lacerations on my hands, elbows and hip from the fall, and have managed to tweak my back so that it is uncomfortable to sit or stand. This is unsafe and either the gaps in the sidewalk need to be fixed or there needs to be some sort of warning for pedestrians that the gaps/holes exist to prevent injury.

Christi Olson
