Why didn't this just get picked up with the trash collection? I would have demanded long before 3 now 4 months that something be done.

hey purple cow -- cooking oil is a special pick up, it doesn't go with regular trash. As for demands? don't really make them :) it isn't hurting anyone, just bringing it to their attention another way

Good to know! Never disposed of cooking oil, so didn't know it wasn't picked up by trash collectors. (Just found out last week thru this site that Albany trash doesn't pick up tvs) but then again we always bring our electronics to e-recycle day. GL getting your oil picked up, seems like 4 months is an awful long time for the city to still leave it sitting there. Glad no kids have tried to spill it/or poke holes in it...

Thank you for contacting us about this issue. Unfortunately the oil is now frozen to the ground so our crew was unable to pick it up. We will keep trying but it may be frozen there until the spring thaw.

The oil was gone when I got home last night! Thank you for you help in removing it!!
