Description
I drove down Humphrey St yesterday evening (8/5 ~7:30PM) and saw three large-ish black/white speckled chickens huddled between the sidewalk and the street. They did not appear to be constrained in any way, other than their interest in bounties beneath the soil.

So that's where chickens come from ! I told you those things can jump a 5 foot fence easily , their flight is an extended jump , not really either..So when a dog passes by it will chomp on the chicken and shake it , play with it , chew on it..Or a car will cluck it. .If it escapes those a Yale Tranny driver whilst parked with engine running will hop out delirious from the exhaust fumes and chase it with a club , beating it into fillets, in front of the children grad people

Some nationalities raise chickens to slaughter or fight.

I was in support of the "chicken ordinance" allowing people to keep chickens (as opposed to chickens keeping people...); however, two of my neighbors had chickens and we ended up with rats, from the chicken feed and flies, from the chicken excrement, basically we couldn't use our yard without seeing rats running around or being constantly bothered by flies (it was kind of fun shooting the rats) - which is basically why you can't have anything decent, in New Haven, as people generally just are not very considerate or responsible (or clean).
