Description
Several pot holes in the right and center lane of the Long Island Expressway, westbound at Exit 59. Pot holes have been there for almost two weeks, they have not been repair. Veicles are slowing up because of them, which may result in a accident. Please contact NYS DOT and make them aware.

The pot holes still remain at EXIT 59 westbound! What a disaster! NYS DOT fixes the little ones at the road way joints but avoids the big ones in the right lane. Don't they have enough money to hot patch the big pot holes?
I travel almost the entire length of the expressway (Exit 27 through 68) every week and it seems eastern Suffolk County is getting the short end of the stick. Why? No influential people on the road until summer season in the Hamptons!
Is the DOT sleeping in their trucks or is supervision following the state's philosophy of "positive incompetence" and "pre-mediated stupidity". Maybe they should drive the road in their personnel vehicle and see if they like to pay for their own vehicle damage. I personally witnessed three vehicles receive flat tires because of a pot hole near the westbound entrance to the LIE at Exit 68 a few weeks ago. It took the DOT a week to patch it and they could not even fill the entire pot hole. The NYS DOT should be privatized!
What does the state do? Nothing because they are not liable for vehicle damage due to pot holes until May 1st. What incompetent politician drafted that state law? Maybe we should not pay our taxes until October 1st? Vote all the politicians out in November!

Some have been repaired, but more are popping up. DOT has attempted to repair them however it seems they do not have enough asphalt to adequately complete the task.
I presume the DOT is waiting for a lawsuit resulting from a vehicle fatality to get off their butt and properly repair the road.
