The effect of this can be seen all along Sheridan even in the new residential areas in Habitat for Humanity and the new residential and high end commercial along Sheridan all the way to Pearl.
Try sending an email to the Mayors office, the dowtown BID and if you can identfy some of the devlopers of new high end residential and commerical in the area. They might be able to encourage the police.
More policing would in general help the bad behavior dispalys through out the Hollow.,

Although I am about 4 blocks to the east, I am not surprised. The number of racing, loud, carless drivers tooling up and down Sheradan near Pearl in their modified cars has been suspicious.
Perhaps an email to the Mayors office. This is supposed to be the gateway to the New Downtown of Albany. With the Habitat for Humanity housing going up along Sheridan, new apratments for rich lawyers, the upscale, dynamic residential community which is to help rescue down down will be DOA.
Maybe send a letter to the Downtown BID and the devlopers of the various projects, they may have some stroke with the powers to be.

here is the email i sent out tonite.
I don't know who montoirs the seeclickfix website but it may take more direction;
"Hi Mayors office
Don’t know if your office monitors SeeQuickFix but this is an issue that affects many and the improvement of the downtown area (see the new grocery store opening-yea!)
With new high end apartment developments on Columbia Street, the new grocery on Pearl, the hotels, condos and apartments as well as Habitat for Humanity along theHollow, the drug dealing issues on Sheridan should receive some attention. I see the impact four blocks away in the increase and obnoxious traffic up and down Sheridan Avenue and nearby rights of way.
We are all trying to make downtown and environs a great plane to lead Albany into the future. Don’t let rthe druggies get in our way – please.
thanx
