This problem extends all the way down the Blount Street corridor past the intersection with Franklin St (across from Peace College) and almost to the Governor's Mansion. I have reported this several times in the past year and understand this is the state's responsibility. I am told that the state and city do not coordinate on these issues, but clearly the city should be lobbying the state to do a better job with these roads that are right here in our state capital. Last winter, I blew out 2 tires in one pothole on the curve going near Franklin and Peace College. The holes had previously been reported on SeeClickFix, but the state denied my claim of its responsibility and said its workers can't fix what they don't know about - IOW, it's the citizenry's responsibility to make sure DOT knows about its potholes. We should launch a petition to persuade the city and state to work together and the state to pave this section.

I, too, have reported this issie several times as I live in the area. The city doea not have jurisdiction here as they've told me coubtless times. The DOT is supposed to takencsre of this and i have cobta red them via their website but they do not care one iota.

I just googled the NC DOT and navigated to one of the pages that lets you report these types of issues. Ive done it twice with absolutely no reaponse. Calling and speaking would be about the onky thing i can sew as a viable option.

Thank you Finley. If anyone has a # to call someone directly that would be nice. I would call them everyday if need be as the DOT is good at ignoring important potholes.
