Inadequate effort already erased. A narrow channel and a small hole in the dam didn't remain after a couple of modest rains washed leaves, twigs, and small limbs down the stream to once more repair the "dam", with more flooding to come with the next heavy rain.

The community-service workers dug a channel and removed sections of a fallen tree, so problem is fixed for now
