Description
Saw what looked like a drug deal on the south side of Union Street park (across from Firestone). Sure enough, went by next day on my bike and saw dime bags everywhere. This is city space/park that is being used by drug dealers. Building a dog fence will not deter this kind of criminal element unless the police and parks department enforce the law.

Dogs can die eating those drug baggies off the ground

I do think that humans occupying the space can deter this kind of behavior on the other hand.

It didn't work on the green, Ben.

let's hope so. my worry is that humans won't be occupying this space from dusk till dawn. police need to patrol the area during after hours.

It's a small park and it is going to get a makeover. That should help, but still, keep a close eye on your doggies over there even after it is shiny new. Don't let them scarf up one of those little bags.

And add some more lights in that area for the evening. It was great to see the local advocacy for the lights on that bridge from State St to Chapel. Helps a LOT in the evening when walking/trying to enjoy the neighborhood while feeling a bit safer. - A former tenant of the Wooster Sq area.

...er I meant from State St to Olive...that and the other bridge at Artizan and Olive.

There isn't enough manpower to have the cops patrolling this park. NHPD has enough
going on. Why don't you call Curtis Sliwa of the Guardian Angels. They'll scare the @#$% out of the druggies.
