Officers have observed the area numerous times since this report. They report that they have not observed any feeding happening, but agree there are abundant raccoons in the area. Let us know if you see someone setting food out at the time it is happening and we will make every effort to speak with them.

Someone placed a sign about 2 months ago asking to please stop dumping food because it was attracting rodents. After the sign was placed, the dumping stopped. However, for the past 2 to 3 weeks, I have noticed that someone occasionally places bread or some sort of food scraps in the bushes behind that utility pole. I have still observed raccoons from time to time eating in that area, but not nearly as frequent or as many raccoons congregated at once.
