Residence in the 800 block of N. 26th and N. 27th Street with alley trash pickup aren't removing their trash cans when required by City Code Section 86-44. For people who use the alley to get to our off street parking it is making it very difficult. Also leaving the trash cans in the alley allow for people to remove the trash out of the cans and throw trash throughout the alley. This request is in compliance with the City of Richmond Ordinance Section 86-81 (a)(b). "Residential trash is collected once per week in the city of Richmond. Super-cans must be placed out no earlier than 4:00 p.m. the day prior to collection and not later than 6:00 a.m. on collection day. Cans must be removed from City property by 7:00 a.m. the day after collection, in accordance with City Code Section 86-44." The fine is 50.00 per day when the can is not removed per the ordinance.
