Description
Before the consturction at the Mt. Vernon/Spalding Dr. intersection improvements in Sandy Springs, the light worked perfectly. Now the turn signal on Dunwoody Club Dr. facing east to turn left onto Mt. Vernon Rd. will only change if triggered. Traffic was significantly smoother when the left turn arrow turned green with the straight away traffic as well. Please re-pattern the lights for the turn lane to stay green when the rest of the light is green! I already spoke with Sandy Springs and they referred me to Dunwoody because you control the traffic signal. Thanks

Thank you for contacting us about this intersection. We checked the intersection today to confirm that the signal and its detection are working properly. As you have noticed, the signal was modified so that when there are no eastbound vehicles turning left, it is now able to cycle more quickly to serve other waiting vehicles. While it might not hold green as long for that turn, you may notice that you save time when you come back through in another direction. This project has resulted in an overall reduction in delay, emissions, and vehicle noise.
