Description
Dog on this property left outside in unshaded yard during heatwave all day and night. Looks underfed. Owners ignore it and pay no concern to numerous times it has gotten out. Passerby rescued dog from street last week. Irresponsible owners show obvious disdain for this poor friendly dog.

Already called SPCA and filed a report/complaint. Unsure if they have been out to investigate yet but folks are keeping an eye on the dog.

The dog was outside all day yesterday in oppressive heat with no food or water. Dog attempting to drink leaking water from hose in backyard. They are still not taking care of this dog. Police and SPCA were called yesterday. People living at this property are home all day and they can't be bothered to at least pet this cute dog.
Something NEEDS to be done!!!

Inspectors from the Animal neglect dept of the SPCA should be out in the next few days to investigate this complaint.

Any idea when this will be looked into??? The dog is still out there, alone, all day with what looks like no food or water.

I will call animal abuse again

Recently called SPCA again, they said they would be out in the next few days. Dog is still outside looking gaunt, during the thunderstorm Sunday. SPCA proving to be less than useful in this matter. Guess they're waiting for complains to stop.
Does Phila. care about animal welfare or not?

Spoke with officer S today. She was out last week and explained proper care of animals to owner. She will go back today/tomorrow to see if dog is still out without food, water or shade. If dog is still outside owner should be cited.

Sad that these people need to have basic information spoon-fed to them, yet she has a horde of children. Unfortunately, these tips haven't sunken in as the dog is still outside all day in the heat being ignored. If I had more room, I would gladly take the dog in. It is incredibly sweet and when given the slightest bit of attention, practically manic. I hope SPCA comes out again and again until either the animal is actually taken care of or the dog is given to someone who isn't a narcissist.
They may be my neighbors but I have no problem doing everything in my power to save that poor dog from a life of neglect and ignorance.

Almost ran the dog over on my way home. He/she got out again and for some reason the druggies from 4728 were trying to catch him. Not too hard though as they were slowly walking behind it laughing. Animal neglect must be funny to these lowlifes.

The dog is gone. Not sure if it was surrendered or locked inside. I'll close this and hope it doesn't end up outside again.
