Description

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but the speeding/stop sign running on Broadway Terrace (particularly the block between Proctor and Hermosa - and stop sign at Hermosa) is really getting out of control. Every morning I am waiting for the Transbay bus I see people clocking at least 40-50 MPH on this stretch of road. I get it, it's steep, and sticking to that 25 MPH can be hard, but there has to be something we can do to fix this. We need traffic enforcement in the short-term and a long-term solution would be to redesign this stretch of road. The road is VERY wide, has very little striping, and the stop signs are very out of view. Can we look into bulb-outs at crosswalks? How about better striping of the road? Speed bumps? More flashing speed lights? Again, I get this road will be busy, but there are many families here and two schools just around the corner - Something has to be done! I hate feeling like a grumpy old man filming people speeding and running stops signs every morning...attached is a screenshot from a video - you can see the car is blurry running through the stop sign.
