The fault lies with New Haven DPW not sweeping the streets and they will not until scheduled for 7 and 8 December. By that time we will be under snow and the leaves will be in the street until the spring. We need sweeping in the Annex and the Cove scheduled more frequently than every 8 weeks or more. The rest of the city gets monthly and/or nightly sweeping.

The fault lies with people who are lazy and want to take the easy way out with no consideration for their neighbors. I wish the city would ticket this guy, but I have no faith they will. Humans will generally not follow rules with no reward or punishment.

If people bagged or paid someone to suck them up like i did i wouldnt have an issuse.. But when i clean my yard and have the guy across the street blow them into the street and in turn they blow into my yard.. Yea im mad..

I just mow all the leaves with my lawn mower turning hem into fine mulch. Problem solved.
