How is this not maintained by the City of Raleigh? Its within city limits. My car took damage from this and would like this addressed.

Many major streets within city limits are maintained by the state of North Carolina (NCDOT). The link below will show a map of the Raleigh area that indicates which streets are state-maintained, which are city-maintained, and which are privately maintained. I contacted NCDOT I got a response from them. This work WAS done by the City of Raleigh.

"Thank you for your note. I did some checking into this and while the NCDOT does maintain Edwards Mill Road, the work performed in this area was done by the City of Raleigh. I contacted the District Engineer's office in Wake County and they determined this work was performed by the Public Utilities Unit. It is my understanding that Mr. David Cadman or Mr. Patrick Barnhouse with the City Of Raleigh Public Utilities Unit can assist you further."

This hole is dangerous and is going to cause and accident and;/or serious damage to vehicles. The affected lane (right southbound lane) needs to be blocked off until it is fixed.
