This has been reported to the water department. They will send someone out to look at this today.
In the future, anyone can call the water department to report a leak. We all pay for this clean water indirectly so we can feel a sense of responsibility to call. Department number is 617-349-4770.
Spoke with the managing director of water department in august- he'd sent crews several time in an attempt to make an 'easy' fix. Cannot be done that way, so has to send a crew to dig up the street and fix it. Is supposed to happen after he has everyone back from summer vacations.
Called again today (10/17) and left a message for him, asking for an update, because nothing has happened.
spoke with the director of the water department 11/28. They thought the leak had been fixed the 'easy way', but it was not permanent. So he said there will be someone there soon to dig up the street and fix it.
