Last time it rained, water was still not going through the drain. Therefore, the issue has not been fixed, and apparently the City of New Haven has not been following up or is not interested to fix it.
May be when the water that accumulates on the walk way will freeze during winter making a long and large black ice walkway, and someone will harm himself/herself, and will file a law suit, may be the city of new haven will follow up?
Years later, still have not received any respond from the city or anyone else.
I am guessing either the city or Yale are not interested by fixing a side walk that turn into a river when raining and people getting wash down when cars and buses run into that accumulated water?
Wonder if this would be fixed if it was in front of the city hall?
Pedestrian vote too!
