Description

To whom it may concern.

I live at 916 N 26th street across from the Friends Daycare Center (929 N 26th street). On Saturday, they installed 7 floodlights, all on one side of the building across from our house. One floodlight is on the sidewalk and points directly at our home. The amount of light is incredibly problematic. When you are on the street or sitting on our porch, it is blinding. It is brighter in our home at night than it is during the day due to the 7 lights. 2/3 bedrooms in our house, in addition to our living room, are illuminated as if it were daytime, even with our blinds and drapes fully drawn. It is like living next to a stadium and prevents everyone from being able to sleep!

Based on the zoning information I've read through online, floodlights cannot be installed so that they shine on other people's property. Could you please help us resolve this problem or direct me to a resources that can help?

I appreciate your time,
There is a photo that is attached which shows the amount of light shining in the street at 11:00pm.
