Description

I would like to request painting a crosswalk on W. Water Street where it meets Union Avenue. More specifically, this crosswalk would go from the Police station block to the underpass). There is currently a Pedestrian protected crosswalk that spans Union avenue (east to west), requiring car drivers to yield to Pedestrians. In addition to the crosswalk painted on the W. Water Street itself, I would like the city to install "Yield to Pedestrians" signs at that intersection. This is a path myself (and many others) use regularly to walk to and from the downtown area (and parking lot at N. Frontage and State Street) to Union station. It is a high vehicular traffic area that does adequately protect the Pedestrian traffic, especially during morning commute, afternoon commute, and police shift change times. Thank you.
