Don't park where there are meters. It might mean you have to walk a bit but thats not a bad thing anyway.

The Parking "police" do that. They make rounds, ticket the expired, if there are some that are close, they will come back. Meter indicating fail, is either full of change or malfunctioning, still fined unless it has time on it. Also, don't fall for the myth that these meter readers STOP at 5:pm, or don't work Saturdays or Sundays. If you wait 10 days without paying your parking ticket, there is also a summary warrant issued.

Many meters come up with the FAIL. And if you call city hall to come fix it, they do come but do not reimburse you money that you put into the broken meter. There are about 6 of them on 10th Street and they all FAIL.

Don't shop or park downtoan and you won't have that problem. Personaly I won't do bussness downtown anymore because you have to deal with the meters. For instance you go to a store and shop a little too long and you have a ticket, run into an old freind and visit too long and you have a ticket...No I would rather just avoid the whole meter thing.

Just one of the many reasons why people avoid going downtown...no matter how many promotions there are to revitalize it.

Not always so simple. Was taking my two babies for their needles, got kids out of car, plugged meter - FAIL. What are options, load kids up in car seats and pul up a spot? I guess, but how about make sure your crap works. I called, left message, no return call. So paid my stupid ticket. Yay City of PA you got my $10.

I wish I could walk some distance, but with Three Pins in the left hip and now plate and pins in left ankle which happens to also be the same side as my hip pins, I cannot walk a great distance, although I wish I could.

I work for the Grand Council and I have to make banking transactions for the Communties that I work with, otherwise, I would have nothing to do with downtown. Where all the Older men drive around in circles to see which of the Younger Women will look thier way, these young women know that they can make these People give into thier personal needs, this is why we see a decline in the downtown, until we get more strict with Policing, and less diligence in meter expirations and allow People to attempt to make time back to replenish meters. But on another note, I recieved notice from the city indicating that they do not circle around to target expired meters on purpose, and that I was in the wrong...

If you read the meter I believe it states you get 2 free hours of parking on a Saturday. Contrary to Mr. Hermiteowitch's statement the meter attendants do NOT work Sundays but they do work after 5 p.m. and obviously on Saturdays. This also ensures people do not illegally park in handicapped spots that are monitored by the City of Prince Albert.

If they truly want to bring life back to downtown condem national hotel and zone all of there area as non residential to get rid of all the cheap junkie houses and meth labs and maybe people will start coming down town !
