Description

The light at Barfield Road and Mt Vernon has been short cycling for over a week, causing major traffic problems between Hammond Drive and Mt Vernon on Barfield Rd at rush hour, traffic has been backing up almost all the way to Hammond every afternoon. The light allows maybe 3-4 cars through before it cycles (if everyone is paying attention), this is causing drivers to get very frustrated and some are making dangerous driving decisions running the lights and traveling up the turn lane then trying to cut over. It’s only a matter of time before we have a serious accident at this intersection because of this problem.
