Off duty metro buses constantly speed down the street (heading towards southbound 16th st). Two buses (#5318 and 6424) were just witnessed far exceeding the speed limit. Some solution is needed not only to curb speed by buses but also other motor vehicles heading up and down this street. The stretch between Geranium and Kalmia can be particularly treacherous.

Can the city investigate a traffic calming solution at the intersection of Alaska and 12th (roundabout or stop sign)? This will help make the Alaska safer to cross for both pedestrians and cars.
