We acknowledge that there is an unusual amount of litter on the north side of Bloomington Road. Most is from passing motorists and pedestrians but some may come from the business on the south side. The street is swept almost daily by the night sweeper operator on his way to and from Downtown and the Campus area. The City does not have the resources to pick up litter along the City Rights-of-Way (ROW) and rely on the residents to mow the grass and clean the ROW along their own property. It is required by City Ordinance. I clean the ROW along my property every week, not because it is required by City Ordinance, but because I want the neighborhood to look nice. Since this is not happening here, the City will schedule a community service worker to pick this up as soon as one becomes available.
