Description
This property was being cleaned out on Wednesday early am, around 12am. I saw one of the men in the property as a man who previously identified himself to me as the property owner that placed the home for rent. At around 8:00am Wednesday I saw about 12 large garbage bags filled and left on the sidewalk near the curb, as well as two boxes. On Thursday morning I reported this to 311, I saw they sent someone from the sanitation dept. out and spoke with them about this. Just this am around 12:30am on Friday the garbage bags have been torn apart leaving garbage all over the properties. Please help so the owner cleans this up.

I hope that the owner of this vacant property comes out to clean this up ASAP.

contact 311 or L&I. I have 4 of my surrounding neighbors reported and they all got cleaned up rather quickly.

I have a neighbor who was just dumping trashbags in the back & side of the house for months. When they cleaned it up, they took 2 pickup trucks worth of trash away.

PBnewcomer267 - must have been frustrating, but glad they got it cleaned up. 311 did come out to file the report on this dumping and the owner said he would clean it up today. I sure hope when I get home that I see it has been cleaned-----I couldn't take it for months, I would go insane!

Irene, you have no idea. The house next door to me is a rental and has sat unrented for over a year. a group of thieves broke in the back yard and door and were stealing the copper pipes at approximately 6pm. The owner finally came and was rehabbing the inside for about 2 weeks and dumped all of the sheet rock, doors, etc into the back yard. Literally filled the backyard like a land fill. They just came and cleaned it up after approx 4 months. young thieves tried to rob my house in the afternoon while i was at work. caught most of it on my security camera. they were throwing softball-sized rocks at the back of the house to see if anybody was home. the neighbor heard my dogs barking and she looked out and saw them. then they pried my gate open and were just about to enter when the police arrived. the police questioned them, got their identities and let them go. they literally said, 'they didn't do anything because they never entered my property'. I am sure they would have had a different opinion if it were their home this happened to. but i guess they are overwhelmed with major problems that they can't arrest everyone. go figure! i only found out they did this cuz my neighbors rung me bell that night. i thought kids were just throwing rocks at my house as they've done before. i'm not making this up. had no idea i was being targeted because the police never left a note or message. i then reviewed my security footage and saw it and called the police. once i get that lot fenced in, i'll feel much safer. it's used for easy access and escape to break in to our homes.

PBnewcomer267: Ugh, that's terrible!!! Actually there are a lot of vacant homes on my block and a couple were broken into and the lot is dumped on, so they are doing the same thing. But wow, throwing rocks, and they were going to still break in even though they heard your dogs? That is just awful! Well, sorry that you experienced that and hopefully it won't happen to you again! Yes, my next plight is to try to get the vacant lots on the block fenced in, at least 2 of them that are issues anyway. TGIF!

I am happy to report that the owner has cleaned up the mess! Thanks!
