Description
477 Elm Street is an apartment building managed by Kensington Square Management. I have attempted to work with them, but they did not returned voice mail. There are two issues.
First, the building does not recycle or sort garbage from recycling. Blue bins are full of mixed recycling and trash. I would suggest that the building managers provide recycling bins and bi-lingual instructions to all tenants to encourage recycling.
Second, they store their bins in the ally way between the apartment building and house next door. These bins should be stored in the area provided behind their complex (they have a special fenced in area). This will keep the ally way open and keep the smell of trash from bothering passers by and neighbors.

who cares, recycling is optional. move on.

Recycling isn't optional, it's the law, even if it's not yet enforced. The post also raises other issues, not just recycling. If residents can't or won't recycle, the blue toters should be taken away, because they are not for trash.

LCI and Public Works are aware of the chronic offenders who do not put their trash in the correct totter or recycling bin. The trash totters and recycling bins can be put either in back of the property or on the side. LCI will let Kensington Square II Limited/Community Builders know how important it is to keep the neighborhood clean.
