The City of Oakland Public Works Agency has received this issue. It is registered as service request # 411577. Thank you, in advance, for your patience as we work through a backlog of pothole service requests. Unfortunately the City does not have enough funding to repave all streets in poor condition. With limited funding, our response to resurfacing requests is limited to minor pavement and pothole repairs only. Our Street Maintenance Department will assess your street and determine whether temporary measures might be appropriate. Please understand that this work may be limited to pothole or other minor repairs, and that we have many similar requests. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner. The backlog of streets in Oakland needing pavement currently is $435 million and growing.
At your convenience, please review the following information regarding the City of Oakland Street/Sidewalk Maintenance Program:

Meanwhile, until they resurface my side of the street, big trucks go through every night and my house shakes like crazy! I'm afraid it may be damaging the foundation of my house.

It's really bumpy but it does appear that the city has begun resurfacing. Hopefully PG&G won't come along and tear up the new pavement.

Somehow the city only re-paved one lane on 35th avenue and the hole left by recent PG&E work is getting worse!

This hole is crazy horrible. And PWA should seek out PG & E to fix the hole properly so that the city does not extra funds to repair the hole.
