A call came into the Police Department @ 6:30 PM regarding raw sewage entering a home on Webster Ct. The Police Department contacted the DPW emergency crew and they were on the street shortly after 7 PM pushing the main sewer which had become clogged. All equipment has flashers, which were active at the time and personnel wear reflective clothing both day and night. The problem was rectified within 30 minutes and this eliminating a serious health problem.

After reading Caroline Colarusso's letter to the Independent where she mentions how important public safety is I'm surprised she allowed this to happen. Where was the police detail ?
