The streets Division has inspected the area and located the issue. It is a private monitoring well frame and lid. I will be forwarding this issue to engineering who may be able to locate the appropriate owner.

The Engineering Department will notify the owner of the well to contact the City to resolve the issue. This item will remain open until the monitoring well frame and lid is fixed.

Thanks but they still haven't fixed this one. Or the other one just 30' away. It looks like they just slapped on some concrete around the unevenly placed valves and called it good. Most of the other valves and manholes on this block are typically flush with the pavement and patched nicely with asphalt, not easily cracked concrete. Are they given a deadline to fix or is it open ended and it's whenever they feel like fixing it?

We have made several attempts to contact the owner of the valve for the private ground water monitoring well. We also attempted to contact the contractor who installed it, with no response to date. Our goal has been to get the owner of the well to fix the uneven pavement. We are still actively working to find a resolution. As soon as we have something to report, I will provide an update. Thank you for your patience.

After our several failed attempts to reach the owner and/or contractor, we have sent a written notice to the owner with 21 days to respond with an action plan. If we do not receive a response within the 21 days, the City will initiate the repair.

The contractor responsible for the monitoring well has been in touch with the City and has tentatively scheduled the repair work for Friday, December 4, 2015.

The contractor completed the necessary repair work on Friday, December 4 as planned. Please see attached photo. Thank you for your patience while we resolved this issue.
