Description
Car was towed today parked on Bradley between Lincoln and Whitney. Told it was for street sweeping. There were no paper signs posted anywhere on this street. Took photos and can contest the ticket after paying the $200 fees. This is unjust for those who did nothing wrong! What about the peple who do not have $200 CASH on hand who parked here?

There is a Public Works truck that follows immediately behind the sweeper from which a worker removes the paper signs. A photo taken after the fact will not be proof, unfortunately. The signs for State St and Edwards St sweeping were put up two days in advance but it seemed like there really weren't very many of them this time and that they could easily be missed. Maybe that was the case on Bradley. We got an email update from Jessica Holmes warning of the sweeping to come. Are you on her list? I think she's still you alder, for now anyway. If you need her email address, please ask.

Why I moved out of New Haven.

And the very same young people who advocate for quality of life in New Haven
also want all the revenue they can get! What a shame.
Enjoy your staple addled trees! The whole system is sickening, everyone knows it,
yet no one storms city hall and 200 Orange!

I live on Orange St. and ride through there twice and a day and did see the no parking signs!
Public Works Dept. killing trees (Guest)
Why is public works killing all of the newly planted young (and old) trees, by stapling signs to the trees and destroying the bark - which serves the same purpose as skin on humans.

Trumbull St., Orange to State: signs yes; towing, no; street sweeping. . .kinda.

More pressure needs to be put on TRANSPORTATION TRAFFIC AND PARKING.
Not as much on Public Works or the Police. The 11 towing companies work directly
for TT&P. Feel free to disagree, but that is the real chain of command on Tow Days.

it is convenient for the people who staple the sign on tree and the other city workers can cut and replant the tree. so everyone can be busy with job security.

also, they NEED to have as many signs up as possible to defend their hideous Tow and Ticket trawl.
The more signs they staple to trees, the better they feel about the job they do seizing your property.
A Sick sick sick New Haven institution.
There has to be a better way.
