Description

James St. and State St. intersection:

There is going to be an accident at this intersection any day now unless something is done. For years, southbound traffic on State has been used to having the right of way to turn left onto James St., because long-term construction prohibited northbound travel on State St. Now that the construction is finally done, southbound traffic no longer has the right of way to turn left. But southbound drivers are still assuming that they do—when they have the green light, they think there will be no oncoming traffic from State Street. This is made worse because northbound State Street comes into the intersection at an angle, making it look like a cross street. PLEASE add a green or red left turn arrow to the stop light for southbound State Street traffic. Don’t wait until someone winds up in the hospital. Thanks.
