I live behind highway 89 on the Springville/Mapleton border and today there was another near fatal accident where a truck almost ended up in my backyard. There have been multiple accidents in this area in recent years. There was a rail put in last year but it does not extend the length of the dangerous highway stretch, including my backyard. Ideally we need a cement barrier to protect our homes from the dangerous high speeds of highway traffic. We have children that play in the backyard who are at risk, as well as the risk of property damage.
